Tracking with an H 1 Criterion 1

چکیده
In this paper we study the problem of tracking a reference signal from the H 1 point of view. As opposed to general H 1 problems, where only suboptimal solutions are obtained, we show that for both the full information and measurement feedback tracking problems the H 1-optimal solutions can be explicitly found. The results also indicate an interesting dichotomy between minimum phase and non-minimum phase plants: for minimum phase plants the best causal tracker performs as well as the best noncausal tracker, whereas for non-minimum phase plants, causal trackers cannot reduce the H 1 norms from their a priori values. We also mention some remedies for the non-minimum phase case, such as adding more actuators (control inputs) or allowing for some nite delay. For causal tracking of non-minimum phase plants, we show that a delay equal to at least the number of non-minimum phase zeros of the plant is required.

Optimal Observer Path Planning For Bearings-Only Moving Targets Tracking Using Chebyshev Polynomials
In this paper, an optimization problem for the observer trajectory in the bearings-only surface moving target tracking (BOT) is studied. The BOT depends directly on the observability of the target's position in the target/observer geometry or the optimal observer maneuver. Therefore, the maximum lower band of the Fisher information matrix is opted as an independent criterion of the target estim...
متن کاملNonlinear Fringe-adjusted JTC Based Face Tracking Using an Adaptive Decision Criterion
In this paper, we propose a new technique for rotation invariant recognition and tracking of the face of a target person in a given scene. We propose an optimized method for face tracking based on the Fringe-adjusted JTC architecture. To validate our approach, we used the PHPID data base containing faces with various in-plane rotations. To enhance the robustness of the proposed method, we used ...
متن کاملRobust object tracking based on weighted subspace reconstruction error with forward: backward tracking criterion
It is a challenging task to develop an effective and robust object tracking method due to factors such as severe occlusion, background clutters, abrupt motion, illumination variation and so on. In this paper, a novel tracking algorithm based on weighted subspace reconstruction error is proposed. The discriminative weights are defined through minimizing reconstruction error with positive diction...

In this paper, we study the problem of power efficient tracking interval management for distributed target tracking wireless sensor networks (WSNs). We first analyze the performance of a distributed target tracking network with one moving object, using a quantitative mathematical analysis. We show that previously proposed algorithms are efficient only for constant average velocity objects howev...
متن کاملAn Improved Management Model for Tracking Missing Features in Computer Vision Long Image Sequences
In this paper we present a management model to deal with the problem of tracking missing features during long image sequences using Computational Vision. Some usual difficulties related with missing features are that they may be temporarily occluded or might even have disappeared definitively, and the computational cost involved should always be reduced to the strictly necessary. The proposed N...
